The SIBA 1500/230/24 charging source ensures power supply to consumers on passenger cars and keeps the batteries charged.

The station is powered by dual power, in independent mode, from the train's high-voltage line with a nominal voltage of 1500 Vac, and when stationary in the wagon maintenance area, from the 230 Vac single-phase power supply network.
The charging source was made of two subassemblies with independent fastening for optimal installation on as many types of passenger cars as possible.
The source replaces the charging system with a synchronous generator driven by the wagon axle while the train is running.
