Presentation

The system is intended to equip mixed double-decker passenger wagons (class I and class II) type 36-16, modernized by SC ELECTROPUTERE VFU SA Paşcani.

The system implements an automation network in the wagon, composed of the vehicle bus (CAN network, CANopen protocol) and the train bus (WTB network, according to UIC 556).
The control part ensures the control of the doors, lighting, the minimum voltage relay (with a function of protection against battery discharge when the static source no longer works), the reception and processing of various analog signals (battery voltage, charging current, three-phase system voltage values, etc.), as well as the control of the passenger information system (GPS, information for interior and exterior displays, generation of audio messages).
The diagnostic part provides data about the controlled systems and collects diagnostic data from various subsystems (for example: climate control unit and access doors).
The diagnostic data of all wagons in a train that are equipped for this purpose are centralized here, in order to transmit them to a ground-based receiving system via WLAN.
WLAN transmission is also used to set up the Passenger Information System (SIP) on trains undergoing wagon overhaul for preparation.

The system is integrated by redesigning the electrical installation and the electrical panel, which is also carried out by SC TEHMIN-BRAŞOV SRL.
