Electrical panel with automatic multiple control and Tehmin diagnosis system for A700 type railcars

Presentation
The system is intended to equip the 700 series railcars, modernized by SC MARUB SA Braşov and SC RELOC SA Craiova.
The system ensures:
- Diesel engine start, stop and acceleration control
- control of reversing, sanding, gearbox and lighting
- retrieving operating data from engine and gearbox control units
- multiple control operation of three vehicles
A J1939 network was implemented for engine and gearbox control.
The vehicle bus is CANopen, and the train bus is also a CAN communication.
To control the reversing process, information about the speed of travel is taken from the vehicle's speedometer. For this purpose, an RS485/RS232 communication was used.
The mechanic can monitor the operating parameters of the vehicle/vehicles using a 5.7", 1/4 VGA LCD display.
The automation system was integrated by redesigning the electrical installation, the electrical panel and the control panels, but also by their implementation by SC TEHMIN-BRAŞOV SRL.
