Presentation
The system is intended for equipping sleeper wagons, manufactured by SC ASTRA VAGOANE CĂLĂTORI SA Arad.
The system implements an automation network in the wagon, composed of the vehicle bus (CAN network, CANopen protocol) and the train bus (WTB network, according to UIC556).
The control part ensures the control of the doors, lighting, the minimum voltage relay (protection against battery discharge when the static source stops working), the reception and processing of various analog signals (battery voltage, charging current, three-phase system voltage values, etc.), as well as the control of the passenger information system (GPS, information for the interior and exterior displays, as well as the generation of audio messages). The system also provides the functions of calling the attendant and waking up passengers from the berths at a scheduled time.
The diagnostic part provides data about the controlled systems and collects diagnostic data from various subsystems (for example: climate control unit).
The diagnostic data of all wagons in a train that are equipped for this purpose are centralized here, in order to be transmitted to a ground-based receiving system via WLAN.
WLAN transmission is also used to set up the Passenger Information System (SIP) on trains undergoing wagon overhaul for preparation.
The GPRS/3G system is used for the online transmission of critical faults, with priority A and A1 according to the UIC557 sheet, from the train to a ground reception system. Data necessary for SIP update (delays, new train connections, etc.) can be received from the ground.
The system is integrated by redesigning the electrical installation and the electrical panel, which is also carried out by SC TEHMIN-BRAŞOV SRL.
