Presentation

The system is intended to equip the saloon-type wagons, class II, modernized by Electroputere VFU Pascani SA

The system implements an automation network in the wagon, composed of the vehicle bus (CAN network, CANopen protocol) and the train bus (WTB network, according to UIC556).
The control part ensures the control of the salon doors and intercom, the reception and processing of various digital or analog signals (battery voltage measurement, consumer current measurement, battery charging current measurement). The system also provides control of the passenger information system (information for interior and exterior displays).
The passenger information system, based on GPS coordinates obtained from a modem also made by Tehmin Brașov, announces to passengers both visually and audibly the next station as well as special pre-recorded messages.
Configuring a train's routes is done using a desktop or laptop software application, creating a database that is downloaded to one of the train's cars, which then controls the entire train via WTB.

The diagnostic part provides data about the controlled systems and collects diagnostic data from various subsystems (e.g. anti-skid, static source, access doors, lighting, air conditioning, PIS, WC) of the wagon as well as diagnostic data from other wagons (up to 20 in the train) and transmits them to the train bus node which further displays them on a 6.5 inch display, located on the electrical panel door.

It signals the operating and fault states of the electrical installations on the wagon, various faults that are visually signaled on the electrical panel door using signal lamps and displayed on the 6.5-inch display, located on the electrical panel door.
Additionally, a control unit for controlling the heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system is also supplied.

The system is integrated through the design of the electrical installation and electrical panel which is also carried out by Tehmin-Brașov.
